Every time as I approached the year end, I never failed to wonder how did the whole year zoomed by so quickly? I could vividly remember welcoming 2016 and now we are entering 2017. It is said that time flies when we are enjoying ourselves. I must be having a blast trying a great assortment of cigars.
It was an incredible journey in 2016 trying all the non-cuban cigars, many of them fantastic smokes . There are some that will strike a note on the palate, while others I’m more than happy to cross it off.The clear winners for me to date are Arturo Fuente and Hirochi Robaina. Similar to Cubans cigars, I tend to stick within the same few brands and format, while others just doesn’t motivate me. Of course aside from flavors alone, there are many factors we all take into consideration, such as price, consistency, availability, etc.
Talk about availability! There seem to be shortage on many Cuban cigars I smoke regularly. One of the most obvious shortage for at least six months is Cohiba. Siglo IV & VI are either sold out or highly priced. Let’s not even go into Behike series! The saying is that with the embargo lifted in USA, the popular brands are being snapped up, leading to scarcity. It may be frustrating but it is also great that Americans can enjoy Cubans openly. Sorry for ranting, I just hope Habana address this issue so there is enough for everyone.
As we welcome 2017 in a couple days, I look forward to trying more cigars and share my experiences. If you had enjoyed Everything Cigars, feel free to leave a comment or email me, I would love to hear from you. Lastly. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Be safe and smoke on!
